HAPPY BIRTHDAY EMMA!
Our sweet Emma is 3 today. Everyone says the time flies, but boy were we not expecting it to fly by so quickly..... If she is 3 then we are really old, but enough about the soon to be grandparents. We found ourselves taking a look back at our Emma, we hope you enjoy the pics too.

We we so excited to welcome Emma into our little family. She has been the constant entertainment our starving student family needed. Throughout her first year the three of us we would get up at the wee hours of the night just to "hang out".

Emma has made us pay for introducing sugar into her diet. Even this last week she bellowed "Mom! I need sugar!" Since her first birthday we have tried to scale her back. But when she does get some she will pounce. For your own good, don't stand between her and the sugar.

By age 2 a definite tread was identified. Emma is not a morning person. She suffers from the Haupt sleeping curse. Her dad is a classic example. If you don't know of his sleeping "adventures" Ask Torrie, because Levi will deny everything. This was the year Emma discovered the morning Cocoa routine. Torrie would have it prepared and ready for our morning star before daring to wake her up. To this day she asks for Cocoa before she is even out of bed... boy are we in trouble.
She may be bigger by a few pounds but the sleeping habits are the same. Now that she is in her big girl princess bed the night time routine is just as unpredictable as the morning routine. If or when she does fall asleep look out future husband, like her mother you shouldn't get used to sleeping soundly with a Haupt next to you.

Doesn't she look big! What happened to our little baby? Yesterday we spent the day celebrating. We bought her a whole bouquet of balloons and ate lunch at her favorite NYC style pizzeria. Unfortunately the balloons made an early exit from the car... If Emma hasn't told you already she will the next time you talk to her. We love you dearly Emma, your the best big sister and daughter we could ask for. We hope your day was all you hoped for.
Love,
Mommy, Daddy and Sissy

Happy Birthday, Emma. I remember when you made your grand entrance. Such a beautiful little girl. Time really does fly. Hope you all are well. Love ya.
Oh, that last post was me, Heather, writing from Doug's computer. He probably wouldn't say "love ya". Not because he doesn't like you all but it's not exactly his style;)
I rememeber that beautiful Emma when she was born! She was perfect and had a perfect head full of hair! Happy Birthday!!!
