East Coast trick-or-treating was a great success! 
Last week was our ward's Halloween party. That day of Levi ran around to several stores trying to find costumes. Levi and Emma originally wanted to dress up as Mike and Sully from Monsters Inc. but we couldn't find an adult Sully costume. While the girls (Torrie, Emma and Charlotte) were waiting for dad to come home to go the party Emma got all dressed up in her princess costume from last year and wandered around the house singing the Sleeping Beauty song. Somehow when Levi got home he was able to convince Emma to put on the new pirate costume he had bought. Emma obliged when she realized she looked like Captain Hook.
At the party we had a great time trunk-or-treating and eating the amazing white chili Torrie made. It was a lot of fun to see such a big turn out. Since Charlotte had nearly mastered holding her head up she had a blast seeing all the fun costumes.
Tonight was just as much fun. Emma realized that when she dressed up she got to fill her pumpkin bucket with candy. Since it was a pretty nice fall day here all four of us headed out to trick-or-treat in our apartment complex.Charlotte was bundled up in her pumpkin bunting. She was so relaxed it made us want to hit a few more houses, and of course,Emma was being a scamp.
Some of the houses were a little more decked out than others, at one house a man with an ax in his head appeared. Emma wasn't very scared, but she was very concerned about his "owie".
We had only been trick-or-treating for an hour and Emma started complaining that her pumpkin was getting heavy. We called it a night and headed home. If you look closely at our little Pirate's bounty she raked in a mighty treasure. Now if she could only find a good hiding spot and hope her dad doesn't find the treasure map soon.

Oh guys! your girls are too cute! I love the costumes!!! Levi, you raised the bar on yourself... you'll be in charge of picking out costumes from now until the time when Emma protests. That might be a while since you are both very persuasive. I love you guys!
yo, ho, that emma be a cute pirate there matey...(say this with an accent for the full effect) looks like you guys had fun, glad to see she got a lot of loot, my kids didn't, because we tried to do too much visiting and they only went to a handful of houses most of which were vacant, but no worries, I had so much candy because we didn't pass out any candy but to 3 people!!! We are going to have candy to last us until next Halloween!!Oy...
