Peat and RePeat

I would like to introduce everyone to Peat and RePeat. Levi and Emma have developed a morning routine. Every morning Emma wakes up calling "Dad where are you?". Levi will stumble out of bed (this usually happens after Levi has hit the snooze alarm for the third time and has woken Emma up) and gets Emma dressed for the day. They then head to the living room where Levi tries to distract Emma with cartoons while he heads to the shower. Once Levi is dressed Emma heads straight to the bathroom to hang out with Levi. They both do their hair and brush their teeth. The next stop is the kitchen where Levi is kind enough to share is chocolate muffins from Costco with Emma. She has determined that if she scarfs down the muffin as fast as humanly possible that she will be able to sneak more of it away from daddy. They do also share a yogurt but it doesn't hold the same interest as the muffins. The final step in getting daddy out the door is the Emma inspection. She is quite particular about what Levi wears, it has to meet her approval. He's actually lucky that he's allowed to leave the house in his own hat, she's quite fond of it. Emma realizes after our scripture and prayer that daddy is on his way out. This is when the scurrying starts. She runs frantically around the house trying to locate her shoes and coat. She would love it if there was a perpetual " bring your daughter to work day." Amidst the crying and screaming Levi eases out the door and Emma is left to console herself by wearing her hat all day. She usually does well until she realizes daddy is late coming home then she is by the door calling through it "daddy where are you?"

Emma is so cute! And I can't believe how big she's getting. When I saw her last, she was still so small. Is she two? And did I read somewhere that you're expecting #2? Congrats!

Hey Torrie! This is Brianne McClellan. I found your blog through German and Sara's. I can't believe how grown up Emma is. It seems like just yesterday that I saw the sign announcing her birth hanging from the Wyview balcony stairs. Congratulations on your pregnancy!!! We are also expecting baby #2. We are only 3 days apart! How fun! You'll have to check out our blog when you get time!
